Yohan Esprada has consistently built a name in the industry as ‘man to call’ if you want big, bouncy slices of Tech and Deep House and since the mid 90’s Yohan has been travelling the world playing everything from Acid House, Soulful to Deep House. His previous releases have graced a myriad of labels across the globe.
Vision Collective Recordings have caught onto the Frenchman’s signature style; custom made for those sweaty and bouncy basement underground clubs. Here are some of Yohan’s releases under the label:
The Original Mix is club orientated Deep House track with a classic underground sound and feel. Mick Verma’s Remix utilises elements of the original and adds his own touches to good effect to complete this package.
Nosy Be – The original mix is an ‘up-tempo and peak time’ type of a track. On remix duty on the other hand — QuestionmarQ’s plays with the original and adds a new twist with a reworked vocal sample and added percussion.
Dominic Smith – What Is What EP
Dublin based DJ/Producer Dominic Smith’s EP contains four new and original Deep/Tech House tracks. ‘What Is What’ opens with a deep and driving percussive groove with a subtle use of vocal samples.
‘Just Stay With Me’ builds and peaks with deep dance-floor driven sensibilities while ‘No Pretend’ is a more laidback Deep House track with guitar and soulful vocal samples ideal for summer sets. ‘Retrospect’ wraps up the EP with a classic and old school deep house sound as the title suggests.
Editor’s Sidenote: Great releases! I need to check with these guys more often. I like what I’m hearing thus far!
