The Best Club Anthems 2011 mixed by Kevin Grenfell (EMI)

Club Anthems 2011

If you have a deep infatuation with club scene bangers this compilation is most definitely for your ears. With the likes of South African dance trio Flash Republic, Swedish House Mafia, Bob Sinclair, The Shape Shifters and loads more, this is clearly a recipe for massive party.  Kevin Grenfell’s 3 disc offering is hard hitting, the track selection borders on inspirational and his mixing is on point. Some hot tunes featured on this triple threat album include; Feelin Good by the legendary Faithless, Hey (Nah Nah Nah) by Milk & Sugar and La Tromba Risin’ by Chris Lake.

The inclusion of hip-hop icons Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne and the sizzling hot Rihanna (on remixes & special features) makes Club Anthems a complete 360 club experience. The compilation is both current and futuristic because it rides the Euro-pop trend which is hitting dance floors all across the globe with sheer power.

The compilation is almost predictable, it lacks ‘that’ surprise element, and the selected tracks are a safe bet. The overall sound is very similar across all  3 discs but it still remains dope collectors piece.

Out of 5, we hand it a 3.5, it’s a good purchase.
